February 26, 2016 – Reading and Presentation at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School
WOW!!! My visit to St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School, in Georgetown, Ontario was a memorable experience. Once the butterflies in my tummy subsided, I read my story “ Robbie Racoon and the Big Black Blob” and did a presentation on the Writing Process to 100+ students (grades 4, 5 & 6).
It was awesome. I was overwhelmed with the number of students in attendance. They were all well mannered and listened intently when I read my story to them and eagerly answered questions about Robbie Raccoon and the Big Black Blob, as well as during my presentation on the Writing Process. When they answered a question correctly, they got to pick a present out of my Big Blue Bag.
Following my presentation, they got to ask me questions. They asked very thoughtful questions and I appreciated their interest. They were each given an evaluation form to fill out, to help me determine where I needed to improve. I was thrilled by the results. They responded that they loved my story and overall I did an excellent job.
We had a blast 🙂

December 2015 – From Hidden Brook Press….. Robbie Raccoon was the HBP bestseller for November 2015 for North American markets and for overall month sales in 2015 including European markets.
December 13, 2015 – Irene holds official book launch for Robbie Raccoon and The Big Black Blob at Wintergreen Maple Products and Pancake Barn in the Haliburton Highlands. A big “Thank You” to Diane & Tom for hosting the book launch and for all their help and advice.
